You should aim to create your folder structure first, start with www folder then within that create an img folder then you can create further folders within img relating to .gif or .jpg or png files.

folders should be laid out similar to this

Remember when creating file in notepad (txt file extension) you need to save it as a .htm file to view in browser

save as htm not txt

Download basic file to get the structure in place, this is roughly where you got to at the end of the course.

The advanced template has a little more detail to it and placemarks for you to add content, note if you save this as say template.htm then you can keep using it for all other pages.
